Why we publish this

A tribunal is only as credible as the people who sit on it. Every officer listed here is accountable in five ways, visible to anyone, with no privileged access required.

  • Hash-chain ledgered. Each appointment is appended to the Tribunal's hash-chain ledger with a SHA-256 hash, anchored to Bitcoin via OpenTimestamps. The record cannot be back-dated or removed.
  • GPG identity. Tier 2+ officers register a GPG fingerprint at appointment. Every judgment they sign is verifiable against that key.
  • Sworn Code of Conduct. Every officer agreed to the Tribunal Code of Conduct as a condition of appointment. The agreement timestamp is in the ledger.
  • Recusal accountability. Every time an officer steps back from a case (for bias, conflict of interest, or any other reason), that recusal is counted publicly on this page.
  • Anonymized by alias, not by office. We publish the PMA alias each officer chose. The personal name is private; the office is not.

Verify any appointment

Each officer listed here corresponds to an appointment_granted event in the Tribunal hash-chain ledger. The ledger is append-only, SHA-256 chained, and anchored to Bitcoin via OpenTimestamps. To audit:

  1. Open the public ledger filtered to appointments, or choose your own date range.
  2. Confirm the prior-hash chain links back to the genesis entry.
  3. Validate the OpenTimestamps anchor against the Bitcoin blockchain.

A tribunal whose officers cannot be independently verified is not a tribunal. It is a club.
